Hello my dear readers!
Sorry it has been so long since my last post -- I had thought to be posting the chapters of my WIP here for feedback, but was encouraged to go to a group called A Happy Assembly by a fellow author who has shared her work there for feedback before publication in the past. I am so glad I listened to her! Actually, I signed up about a year ago to do it, but I got sidetracked by life and writing and so many other things that it has only been in the last few weeks that I have been sharing the chapters.
Again, glad I finally did it. I have gotten some really insightful and wonderful feedback from the readers there. They have made me think and given me ideas, and I am so thankful. Plus, they really seem to like the story, which is even better!
That said, with the date of publication being just a week away -- yikes! -- it's time to start tooting my own horn. I've set up an incredible 2-week blog tour to promote my new book, starting right here at All That They Desire. Some of my favorite Austen-related blogs have kindly accepted my application to take over their space for the day through most of the next two weeks, and I couldn't be more grateful.
So, without further ado, let's kick this thing into gear by doing one of the absolute best things I love about blog tours: the cover reveal!
Does anyone recognize the building on the back? I'll give you a hint: it's in London.
I hope you all like the cover for my new book, The Reintroduction of Fitzwilliam Darcy. From the very beginning of the design process, I knew I wanted to represent both the country that Darcy and Elizabeth love and the city where they take on the world together in this story. This is my first standalone variation, an idea that just kept popping into my head as I was writing Choice and Consequence, so I knew I'd have to write it before getting to work on the third book in the What Might Have Been series -- bit that one's next!
Now for even more fun: To celebrate the success of my second book and the release of my third, I've decided to host a giveaway! To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog, or any blog of your choice along the tour. What prize do you get if you win? Well, if you are very, very lucky, you could win an ebook copy of The Reintroduction of Fitzwilliam Darcy!
Contest will be open through August 14, 2021. The Reintroduction of Fitzwilliam Darcy releases August 7, 2021 on Amazon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope to see you on the tour!
Congratulations on this release. Interesting premise. I look forward to reading it. Nice cover.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I am glad you like the cover and hope you enjoy the book!
DeleteSounds like a great story with a unique premise. I am a big fan of stories where E&D fight the world together and not each other! Looking forward to reading this story. (Will it be on KU?)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I thought it pretty unique too -- there are so many stories out there where Elizabeth's circumstances are changed, but Darcy's almost never are (though I have since heard that there are other "poor Darcy" stories out there). I'm so happy you are looking forward to reading the story!
DeleteAnd yes, it will be on KU. :)
Following the story on AHA and it is very good! Love your stories and look forward to the finished book!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for reading along, I am happy you're enjoying the story. Hope you like the ending!
DeleteOh, my! It sounds so sad for Jane! But I am hooked! Congrats on your new book!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the release. I look forward to reading.
